How licences work
- Buy one Learner licence for each person. That is your number of people.
- Buy Leaders & Owners or IT Professional for the people who need them, up to your number of Learner licences.
- Admins assign add-ons to individual people in People.
- Change licence numbers any time in Settings, Billing. Changes are prorated.
Volume discounts, per licence
Graduated: only the people inside a band get that band's price, and each licence is counted separately.

How does pricing work?
Every person who uses Coursembly needs a Learner licence, $28 per person a month. Leaders & Owners and IT Professional are $10 add-ons, bought only for the people who need that content. All prices are in NZD and exclude GST.
Can someone have an add-on without a Learner licence?
No. Every person holds a Learner licence. You can buy each add-on for as many people as you have Learner licences, or fewer.
How do volume discounts work?
Discounts are graduated and counted separately for each licence. The first 9 people on a licence pay full price, people 10 to 49 get 5% off, 50 to 99 get 10% off and 100 to 249 get 15% off. Only the people inside a band get that band's price. For 250 or more people, talk to us.
Monthly or annual?
You choose on the sign-up page, where you pick your licences. Monthly is the list price. Annual is 10 times the monthly price, so you get two months free.
Who gets the add-on content?
Your admins assign Leaders & Owners and IT Professional licences to individual people in People. Only people with that licence can open its lessons. The person who signs up is given every licence bought.
Can we add or remove licences later?
Yes. Admins change licence numbers in Settings, Billing, and changes are prorated. You cannot go below the number of active people, or below the number of add-on licences currently assigned.
What happens when someone leaves?
Deactivate them in People. A deactivated person does not use a licence, so it is free to give to someone else.
Can people share a login?
No. Each licence is for one person with their own login.
How do we cancel?
Cancel from the billing portal. Your subscription stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
Do prices include GST?
No. All prices are in New Zealand dollars and exclude GST, which is added on top.
Do you work with Australian teams?
Yes. The library includes Australian examples and compliance content. Prices are in NZD.
How are Australian businesses invoiced?
In New Zealand dollars. Prices are in NZD and exclude GST. If you have a question about an Australian tax invoice, contact us.
